Class Mechanics
The Spiritborn class is quite similar to the Druid in terms of theme, assigning a Spirit Guardian to bestow certain stats and bonuses. This class uses the Spirit Hall system, where players choose a Primary Spirit and a Secondary one.
Each Spirit Guardian corresponds to a certain playstyle and element. Players can choose from the following four:
Centipede
- Focuses on inflicting Poison damage over time and debuffs on enemies. Its primary effect of striking enemies with Centipede skills reduces their damage output by 2.5% and inflicts 10% Slow on them for 3 seconds, stacking up to a maximum of 8 times, while converting all Skills into Centipede ones.
Jaguar
- Uses a high-action melee playstyle with fast cooldowns and multi-hit damage. Attuned with the Fire element, its primary effect is that the 4th hit in a Jaguar Basic Skill combo unleashes multiple slashes, dealing 100% of the damage dealt by the first 4 hits, while converting all Skills into Jaguar ones.
Gorilla
- Focuses on tanking damage through active and passive damage mitigation skills. Attuned with the Physical element, its primary effect is that casting any Gorilla Skill grants you 100% Thorns against enemies you hit and provides a Barrier for 10% of your maximum life, up to 40%, for 3 seconds, while converting all Skills into Gorilla ones.
Eagle
- Has high mobility with tons of evasion and overall movement. Attuned with the Lightning element, its primary effect is that casting any Eagle skill grants 2 Storm Feathers, up to 8 stacks at maximum. When using Evade, all Storm Feathers are fired at nearby targets, dealing 100% Lightning damage and applying Vulnerable to targets hit for 3 seconds, while converting all Skills into Eagle ones.
The Spiritborn also has its own class resource called Vigour which functions similarly to the Barbarian’s Fury, which is generated by hitting enemies with your Basic attacks. Unlike the Barbarian, however, the Spiritborn can only use Two-Handed Weapons like Glaives, Quarterstaffs, and Polearms.
This class’s primary stat bonuses are Critical Chance per Strength, Skill Damage per Dexterity, and Resource Generation per Intelligence, which further cements the Spiritborn as the most versatile class in the game.
