The Prestige System from past CoD titles returns to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. This system allows you to reset your account level and start grinding again. Doing so will unlock exclusive rewards for Multiplayer and Zombies. Here’s everything you need to know about Prestige in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
What Is Prestige
As mentioned, Prestige allows you to reset your account level and grind. Players can use the Prestige system to unlock exclusive cosmetics in the game. There are 10 Prestige Ranks to get through, and once you hit max rank, you’ll need to complete 1,000 levels. This can be a long grind for new players, but for veterans, it’ll be easy.
In Black Ops, Prestige is referred to as Classic Prestige and will do the same thing as other CoD titles, where once you reach Rank 55, you can activate it and reset your account rank. Doing so will allow you to increase your Prestige score by 1. In addition, once activated, you’ll receive an exclusive emblem next to your name and some cosmetic rewards. For those who aren’t familiar with Prestige, it’s good to note that once it’s activated, you’ll need to unlock all your current Weapons, Perks, Scorestreaks, Equipment, and Field Upgrades again. The XP earned from the weapons before you activated Prestige will not be affected. Players will just need to unlock access to the weapon and not grind again for the weapon’s attachments and camos.
Players can activate Prestige up to 10 times, but when they reach Prestige 10, they won’t be able to reset their account. This is where they have access to activate Master Prestige, which allows them to hit Level 1,000. Hitting the max level will reward players with exclusive cosmetics. In Master Prestige, you don’t lose anything; it’ll just be a long-term grind until you reach Level 1,000.
How To Progress in Prestige
Progressing in Prestige is easy since you just need to play games and earn XP from matches and kills. Players can engage in both Multiplayer and Zombies to earn XP from each game. Here’s a detailed guide on how to grind Prestige fast.
In Zombies, you’ll need to play long games and earn medals when getting kills to level up fast. When playing Zombies, players can earn 1000 XP for every minute they’re in the match. And, if players earn medals such as Lifedrinker and Slaughter during matches, they’ll make even more XP in the end. Completing the challenges in Zombies will also earn you more XP.
For Multiplayer, it’s the same as Zombies. Players will earn 1000 XP per minute in various game modes. The best game modes to choose from are the core ones, such as Hardpoint and Kill Confirmed. It’s best to play games on small maps to get kills faster and earn medals. The more medals you get in each match, the more additional XP you’ll receive. Unlocking Mastery Badges and Camos and completing challenges will also help you earn more XP. If players want to earn XP even faster, they can hop on Hardcore Multiplayer matches such as Hardcore Domination or Face Off Moshpit. With Hardcore, you can bump up the XP per minute from 1000 XP to 1500 XP.
One thing to note is that every time you activate Prestige, your XP payout will increase when you’re doing daily challenges. So, the higher the Prestige rank, the higher the XP payout.
Rewards From Prestige
When you activate Prestige on your account, you’ll always gain three rewards: Permanent Unlocks, Prestige Cosmetics, and Prestige Challenges. Here’s what they all do in the game.
- Permanent Unlocks: This allows you to gain a token that can be used to unlock any item permanently, which can be used for weapons, perks, and equipment.
- Prestige Cosmetics: A new emblem will appear beside your name, unlocking a unique skin or calling card.
- Prestige Challenges: These challenges reward players with calling cards, animated loading screens, GobbleGums, and XP once they’re completed.
