Best Brighter Shores Alchemy Guide

Best Brighter Shores Alchemy Guide

Alchemy is by far the most useful profession in Brighter Shores, as the potions you can craft have some useful effects for both combat and skilling. This profession requires a couple of crafting reagents that can be found all over the world. Worry not, this guide will help you in your journey to becoming the best Alchemist the world has ever seen. This guide will also list all the reagents you need and where to find them.

It’s recommended that you gather the materials yourself rather than buy them at the reagent vendor as not only will you level your Foraging skill in tandem, but you’ll also be saving money. It may take more time to level Alchemy specifically, but the benefits of foraging are very lucrative in the long run.

Level 1 - 10

10% and 20% Healing Potion Recipe

Before you begin leveling Alchemy, you’ll need to progress the Foraging profession, as all the reagents you need require at least level 12 with this skill. The first few materials you can forage will also be integral to leveling up Alchemy from 1 to 10. First, purchase a Secateur from Ella at the Foragers Warehouse and farm these reagents as much as you can:

  • Brown Kelp
    • Located in the East Beach and Jellyfish Landing
  • Creamy Wallplant
    • Located in the Old Street East and Old Street West

Brown Kelp should be your priority as it's the main ingredient for crafting 10% and 20% healing potions. First, head to the Reagents Preparation Station in the Apothecary and interact with it to create your potion reagents. Next, purchase some bottles from Ebsworth, since you’ll need a container to store your potions (one bottle costs 20 Copper). Lastly, head to the Standard Potion Station and craft your 10% healing potions. Make sure to sell your potions to make some profit.

5% XP Hopeport Potion

Once you reach level 2, get as much Creamy Wallplant as you can and add those to your Brown Kelp. Again, prep the Creamy Wallplant and Brown Kelp in the prep station and craft as many 20% healing potions as you can until you reach level 4 and have at least 47 Silver to buy a Trowel.

At level 4, you will need to get the following ingredients for the 5% XP Hopeport Potion:

  • White Periwinkle
    • Located on Brannof Boulevard
  • Horn Shell
    • Located on the East Beach and the Seashells Seashore. Require a Trowel.

Again, get as many of these reagents as you can and keep crafting and selling this potion until you reach level 6. Feel free to drink this potion before doing alchemy for the extra XP boost. Make sure to save 54 Silver for a Pond Net for the next set of plants that you must harvest. The Pond Net is the last Foraging tool you’ll need for a long time, so it's all profit from here.

+40 Strength Arborae Potion Recipe

At level 6, you can now craft the +40 Strength Arborae Potion, which requires the following reagents:

  • Tangled Pondweed
    • Located in the Overgrown Pond. Requires a Pond Net
  • Mauve Bellplant
    • Located in the Overgrown Field and Rubble Road

+40 Strength Cryonae Potion Recipe

At level 8 Alchemy, the +40 Strength Cryonae potion will be unlocked. This potion needs the following reagents to craft:

  • White Water Lily
    • Located on the Overgrown Road and Rubble Road
  • Wrinkled Starfish
    • Located in Starfish Point and Jellyfish Landing

+40 Strength Tempestae Potion Recipe

The last and most profitable potion you can unlock for a while is the +40 Strength Tempestae. You can source the required materials from these locations:

  • Green Hogberries
    • Located in Crater and Fallen Monument
  • Common Limpet
    • Located in the Pirate Hideout and Ray Bay
