I've seen hundreds of accounts get taken back after someone has bought them or were given to them. This usually happens after a person has paid hundreds of dollars for an account (sometimes even thousands), or if they were given the account years ago by a friend. It's relatively easy to steal an account back, and in a matter of 30 minutes you can be without your account/character because it wasn't registered/owned by you originally. This guide will tell you how to prevent this.

I've played EverQuest for years and years. I've sold a ton of accounts throughout the years and have had friends who had their accounts taken back on them. It isn't that difficult to prevent, but most people do not properly protect themselves against it.
