Yes. PlayerAuctions is totally free for buyers to use; you will only need to pay for your purchase. We only charge a small fee to sellers when they successfully complete an order.

Payment verification is part of our PlayerGuardian security system which helps to ensure the legitmacy of payments. In some exceptional cases, you may be required to provide a copy of a valid government issued I.D. in order to complete an order. This is most often done for Game Account purchases, but may be required for other product types as well. You're personal information is kept confidential, and is only needed once if requested. Please note, that if you are unable to provide a copy of a valid government issued I.D. your order may be cancelled at the discretion of our risk management staff, or you may be restricted to specific payment options to complete the order.

In the very rare event that the buyer receives something other than what he/she had paid for, the buyer should immediately file a dispute for the order.

These exceptional circumstances are often due to a simple misunderstanding. Therefore, if this occurs, the buyer and seller may work directly with each other through our dispute resolution system to solve the problem. In the event that the buyer and seller cannot resolve the issue on their own, and we find that the seller did not deliver what was described in the order, we will refund the buyer appropriately on the next business day.

It is always the seller's responsibility to remove any ambiguity in his/her For Sale Offers to ensure that what is delivered matches with what is described in his/her offer.

To make a bank payment to PlayerAuctions through PayPal, you will need:

  1. A PayPal account
  2. A credit card registered to your PayPal account
  3. A confirmed bank account registered to your PayPal account
  4. A back-up funding source for your PayPal account

Please note that these are PayPal's requirements, and not ours. If one or more of the requirements above is not fulfilled, a bank payment through PayPal is not possible.

The exchange rate for international currencies within the PlayerAuctions website is based upon Bloomberg's official exchange rate and is updated daily.

No. We only accept instant payments at this time. PayPal e-checks take around 3-4 days to clear and as such, are currently not compatible with our payment system. Rest assured, however, we will be working on adding this payment option in future. If you do not wish to make a payment through PayPal or credit card, you may instead use PaidByCash.

To make PlayerAuctions the most secure trading environment possible, buyers do not send their payments directly to sellers. Instead, all buyers send their payments directly to PlayerAuctions, where it is secured by PlayerGuardian. We then wait for both the buyer and seller to confirm with us that delivery has been successfully completed. Only after we have successfully confirmed the delivery do we disburse payment to sellers.

With PlayerGuardian, buyers are guaranteed delivery or their money back.

In most cases, payment verification only takes a few seconds to complete. In certain exceptional instances, it may take longer. In the event that your payment takes longer to complete verification, rest assured that we are working to process your order as quickly as possible. You are also welcome to contact us.

Please refer to the seller's delivery guarantee for your delivery period. The seller's delivery guarantee is their promise to complete delivery within a certain timeframe after the buyer's payment is securely sent to PlayerAuctions and is successfully verified.

Each seller sets his/her delivery guarantee period independent of PlayerAuctions. Please see the seller's reputation on PlayerAuctions as an indication of their service and reliability.

For the smoothest delivery experience possible, buyers are also encouraged to verify that the seller’s hours of delivery availability match up well with their own before making a purchase.

While the majority of transactions on PlayerAuctions are delivered by sellers during their guarantee period, some transactions may be completed after the specified time frame. In this infrequent event, PlayerAuctions urges buyers to continue to work directly with sellers to successfully coordinate the completion of the transaction. The order will not be automatically closed and delivery may still be successfully completed.

In the event that the buyer no longer wishes to wait after the seller's delivery guarantee has expired, he/she may cancel the transaction (penalty-free). We will then automatically process the buyer's refund the following business day and the buyer will immediately be able to leave feedback on the seller.

The overwhelming majority of all transactions on PlayerAuctions are successfully delivered. However, certain exceptional cases may result in the seller's non-delivery of an order. In most of these cases, non-delivery is simply due to a misunderstanding. For this reason, we highly recommend buyers and sellers to directly contact each other to properly resolve the issue.

Buyers are strongly encouraged to give the seller the duration of their delivery period to fulfill the order. In the event that the buyer cancels his/her order before the delivery guarantee period has expired:

  • For security purposes, we will first have to confirm the delivery status with the seller before a refund may be processed.
  • PlayerAuctions will consider that the order failed due to the buyer's error, and will therefore penalize the buyer's reputation. Additionally, the seller may also leave feedback on the buyer regarding their experience during the transaction.
  • If we confirm that the delivery was not fully completed, we will appropriately refund the buyer on the next business day.

If the seller's delivery guarantee has expired, PlayerAuctions urges the buyer to continue to work directly with the seller to successfully coordinate the completion of the transaction. The order will not be automatically closed and delivery may still be successfully completed.

In the event that the buyer no longer wishes to wait after the seller's delivery guarantee has expired, the buyer may cancel the transaction (penalty-free). The overwhelming majority of all transactions on PlayerAuctions are successfully delivered without issue. However, certain exceptional cases may result in the seller claiming delivery of an order that the buyer did not receive.

In this very rare event, the buyer should immediately file a dispute for the order in their PlayerAuctions Account Center. Rest assured knowing that PlayerGuardian continues to secure the buyer’s payment until the dispute is properly resolved. Our systems and processes have carefully considered, and are well prepared to handle, all the possible exceptional cases that might occur during an order. The time-tested technology behind PlayerGuardian has been proven through the successful and secure completion of over 25 million separate player-to-player transactions, totaling over $1 billion USD, by more than 4 million players.

These exceptional circumstances are often due to an accident or simple misunderstanding. For this reason, we highly recommend buyers and sellers to directly contact each other to properly resolve the issue through our dispute resolution system.

In the event that the buyer and seller cannot come to an agreement, the order will be escalated to the PlayerAuctions Final Resolution Committee, who will determine the delivery completion state of the order. The factors considered in their decision include, but are not limited to:

  • The seller promptly providing delivery evidence, which will be meticulously inspected in line with the Secure Seller Delivery Agreement.
  • A review that the buyer adhered to their Secure Buyer Delivery Agreement.
  • Any onsite messages that might have been sent between the parties related to the offer or order involved in the dispute.
  • The thorough review of the offer and order, as well as a rigorous verification of both parties involved in the transaction.

If it is found that the delivery was not fully completed, we will appropriately refund the buyer on the next business day.

Fraud, as well as attempted fraud, is a very serious crime. If through our meticulous inspection of the delivery evidence we find that it was manipulated, or that either party is fraudulently misrepresenting their case to the PlayerAuctions Final Resolution Committee, that individual may be reported to the FBI, the Internet Fraud Complaint Center, and other international authorities, to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. We fully cooperate with law enforcement agencies in cases of fraud, which includes supplying them with personal information, IP addresses, and time stamps.

No. For security purposes, any refunds processed by PlayerAuctions will be sent using the original payment method, and to the original account the payment was from. This step helps to ensure that PlayerAuctions is safe for you and your fellow players.

 

  If I receive a refund, how long will it take? Back to Top  
 

PlayerAuctions sends out any pending refunds to members once per day on business days, generally during the hours of 7pm to 10pm PST. If we receive a refund request for an order after 7pm PST, the order will be placed in the refund queue and processed during the normal refund and disbursement cycle on the following business day.
